I was listening to a great TEDx Talk yesterday by Diane Laufenberg about education and letting children fail in order to learn. Putting the idea out there that failure is a bad thing means we can’t grow, learn, experiment, all of which are vital to a creative and curious mind. I think we often get comfortable and don’t take risks as adults, too, and I love this letterpress poster by Aardvark On Sea to remind me that failure is good. So go out there and fail at something!

Learning to pace myself seems to be the trend for the new year. While maintaining my new job, accepting a position as co-pres of CSCA, expanding Paper Remnants and taking on other new projects, I need to stop, breath and do one thing at a time well, rather than 4+ things mediocre.
