To help with any Monday frustration from your messy pile of Pantone chips, may I suggest the Chip Slip. You’re silly not to get some.

It’s Friday! I hope your weekend is full of classy drinking, champagne out of cans and mini straws.

I’m so inspired by Matthew Brandt’s Lakes and Reservoirs project. “Color photographs are soaked in the specific lake or reservoir water that they represent.” The natural deterioration is so beautiful! What a powerful and amazing idea.

Of course the first thing I do after I buy a camera is look for a cute camera bag. While searching, I came across Stash and absolutely loved their range of techy bags and ipod, ipad and computer bags and holders. With a hint of vintage, these are definitely show-stoppers.

I love my headphones. I did an intensive search 4 years ago for the prefect pair and I still have that same pair today. I thought I’d share because since you can’t miss them, a lot of people ask where I got them. So here they are!
The Panasonic Monitor Stereo Headphones have lasted me 4+ long years and I use them almost daily. I have the green ones and when they wear out, I’m absolutely buying another pair. The perks: they cup your entire ear so that it doesn’t smash it, the top headpiece barely touches your head, the ear pieces are adjustable and stay there, and finally they look awesome and have great sound. (and you can purchase them on amazon for less than half the price, so why not do it??) And no, I’m not getting paid to promote these. I just love them that much!

I’m dying over these food illustration photographs from Dietlind Wolf. Her photography was already mesmerizing but to add the splashes of watercolor as table settings has me drooling.

I’m in looooove with these paper strip collages by Sean Brannon. The textures and layering of the colors has me struggling to find which piece I love best. I also love that you can flip it in any direction and see new things each time.
I was first introduced to Startup Weekend by my friend, Melissa, who proposed and created an app called Hang Plan in a single weekend with a group of developers last year. I’m not going to miss my chance to participate in the Philadelphia in April! Startup Weekend is held all over the country, and is a 54 hour work session to create an app, program or website in a single weekend. There’s nothing quite like getting a large group of creative and entrepreneurial folks in one room and I’m so looking forward to the chance to launch something great.
You can still sign-up for the Philadelphia Startup Weekend in April or you can find one in your own city through their site.

My good friend Allie is holding an Phone Photo Challenge as one of many challenges she’s had over the last few months. I think it’s about time I participate, especially when I have no excuse since my iphone is with me 24/7, so I’ll be submitting and sharing my photos here and on Allie’s blog.
The first set of 4 photos are due Sunday night, so you still have time to participate, too! It should be a really good challenge. Head over to Allie’s blog Show & Tell to get the details and how to enter. Good luck!
