a night at Terrain

{ 12 ladies in the Styer’s Garden Cafe (sorry, Danielle, I didn’t know I caught you mid-sentence! :) }

I had the pleasure of joining 11 other women from the Philadelphia area last night at Terrain’s Cafe at Styers for a night of design, small business, and of course, the usual baby/wedding/reality tv talk. Most of us had met in Oh Joy’s Rx class, but we added a few newbies which made it fun to meet twitter friends in person.

Terrain is located about 40 minutes outside of Philadelphia, in Glen Mills, PA. The setting was phenomenal and the Terrain staff were so sweet for dealing with 12 hungry ladies. As you can see from above, our table lined the middle of the restaurant and there were gorgeous hanging plants above us. I wish my family and friends were in Philly because I would absolutely want to have a bridal shower there!

Restored stained glass doors separated seating areas and mason jars with tea lights were lit as the sunset hit. It was so romantic and I’ll definitely have to go back and enjoy their patio and shop. It was such a beautiful setting.

You could hear squeals as our food arrived and my two first courses (I couldn’t choose, ok??) were devoured. The heirloom tomato salad had me at goat cheese and balsamic drizzle.

Our bread was served in flower pots with lavender honey butter and my mushroom quiche with micro greens was gone in 2 minutes flat. Am I making your mouth water yet?

If you have the chance to experience Terrain and the Garden Cafe, I highly recommend making the time to do it. It was absolutely worth the trip and I was so happy to share my first time there with 11 influential women from the area. Thanks, ladies, for a great night out!
